We are Kayla and Kelli Iutzwig (aka Wild Fire), a young sister duo out of Houston, Texas. We grew up in a musical family and enrolled in theater and dance classes at ages 5 and 6. From there we began taking voice lessons and were cast in many productions. Eventually our voice teacher paired us up together and we quickly learned to harmonize and complement each other vocally. We began landing numerous singing parts in the theater productions. It was then that we fell in love with performing and singing on stage. In 2016 we decided we wanted to pursue music on our own, and we left the world of theater and dance to form Wild Fire.
Since forming Wild Fire, we have performed hundreds of shows from coffee shops to large festivals. We have written with hit songwriters and honed our songwriting craft, produced records with multi-platinum producers, had our music placed in film/TV, won various awards, released five studio albums and many singles, as well as grown our fan base from zero to over 250,000 followers.
We did this all by ourselves, with no record label providing funds for recording, videography, publicity, marketing etc.. It has been very challenging to do this without a label, but we are passionate about our art. We have such amazing, supportive fans which really keeps us going.
Recording a new album is very expensive. We must hire a producer, mix engineer, mastering engineer, musicians, photographers, graphic designers, pay for studio time, distribution and more. In addition, once the record is complete, we need marketing dollars to get it out into the world.
That's where you come in. We have been writing some great songs over the past year and are ready to get them out into the world. We are asking our supporters and those that are passionate about supporting independent artists to help us reach our goal of producing a top-notch record, along with additional support for marketing it to radio and streaming outlets. This record will have 8-10 songs on it. Our plan is to release it between June and July of this year (2023). If you have been following us for awhile, you know our track record and the quality of the music we produce. We think we have a great shot at gaining some serious momentum with these new songs. We also want you to be a part of something big! Let's do this together!
